This is my purpose built 1987 Mazda RX7. I intend for this car to be a track only vehicle, but it will keep lights to be street legal so I dont have to trailer it absolutely every time.

 | I am moving to Boise, Idaho for a job at Micron Technology. I hope I can save the cash for this project and fly back in 6-8 months to work on it. Sidenote: It has glass now.

 | One heck of a project but it should yield good results. Currently weighs about 1300 lbs and estimated track weight of 2200 lbs.

 | The door bars make it a huge pain to get into the car, but they provide a lot of protection and allow you to gut the doors.

 | The roll cage ties into all 4 strut towers for extra strength and rigidity.

 | Pretty baren in here. I will probably use some sheet aluminum and do a custom gauge cluster and switch panel.

 | The widebody fiberglass fenders feel lighter than the stock fenders. The fit isnt perfect which bothers me but I like the weight savings and the look. I will need to get widebody fenders for the rear before paint.
